Seeking a flexible part-time talent with a background in graphic design and AI Image Creation. Hours will be flexible from week to week and will not exceed 1300 hours annually. The position is intended to be open-ended so there is no true end date. Contracts will be extended as long as success in assignments is achieved.


Position Overview


The AI Graphic Designer will play a key role in our fast-paced innovation ecosystem using their expertise to rapidly visualize new product and packaging concepts. This role focuses on bringing ideas to life through compelling visuals fueling iterative learning and decision-making within a large CPG company.


Instead of focusing on polished final designs, this role prioritizes speed and iteration creating a constant flow of visual stimuli for testing and feedback. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams translating their ideas into tangible representations that can be used for consumer research, internal alignment, and rapid prototyping.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and translate ideas into visual representations of new product and packaging concepts.
  • Generate a high volume of visual assets in a short time frame in real time and within a day including product mockups, packaging variations, and brand explorations using a combination of AI image generation tools e.g. DALL-E and Adobe Firefly and traditional design software e.g. Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Explore a wide range of visual possibilities, experimenting with different styles, formats, and levels of fidelity based on the specific needs of each project.
  • Present your work clearly and concisely, articulating design decisions and their impact on the learning process.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced agile environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and simultaneously handling multiple projects with accuracy and attention to detail.


Qualifications:


  • 3-5 years of experience in a graphic design role demonstrating a strong understanding of design principles typography and visual communication.
  • At least 6 months in AI image generation tools e.g. Midjourney, DALL-E, Adobe Firefly and traditional design software e.g. Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
