Job Title: Webmaster - Shopify Ecommerce Specialist

Location: Watkinsville, GA

Employment Type: Full-time Hybrid. In office Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Webmaster to join our team and manage our ecommerce site built on the Shopify platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Shopify, experience with content management, and the technical skills necessary to implement new functionality and improve site performance. This role involves regular updates of site content and products, as well as supporting our B2B business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Monitor site performance and functionality, ensuring an optimal user experience.
• Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain site integrity.

Content and Product Management:

• Regularly update site content, including product listings, descriptions, images, and promotions.
• Ensure product information is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with marketing strategies.

Functionality and Performance Improvement:

• Implement requested features and enhancements to improve site functionality and user experience.
• Research and implement best practices to optimize site speed, traffic, and conversion rates.
• Explore new opportunities for improving the site’s performance and user engagement.

B2B and Content Management Support:

• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to support B2B initiatives and content management systems.
• Ensure seamless integration of B2B functionalities with the main ecommerce site.

Shopify App Store Utilization:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify apps and tools.
• Evaluate and integrate relevant apps to enhance site capabilities and performance.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with external web developers to implement complex features and resolve technical challenges.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to align website strategies with business goals.
• Pitch new ideas and strategies for website improvement and digital marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Webmaster or similar role.
• Familiarity with the Shopify platform and the Shopify App Store.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to take initiative and proactively seek opportunities for improvement.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and digital marketing strategies is advantageous.
• Basic coding experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Familiarity with image manipulation and Adobe products a plus.
