AWS Cloud Data Engineer (onsite, Stamford, CT)

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer/AWS Cloud Data Engineer to join our largest Telecommunication client’s team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS data, core, and analytics services, including AWS Redshift expertise. This position requires the candidate to lead the team, serving as the subject matter expert (SME) and the go-to person for questions. The role involves supporting the business side, necessitating collaboration with business leaders and stakeholders. The candidate must be adept at bridging technical and non-technical communication, ensuring clear and effective interaction between technical developments and business needs.


  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in AWS cloud data engineering.
  • Must have a proven track record of not just using AWS services, but also making strategic recommendations and improvements within AWS environments.
  • AWS Redshift Expertise: Strong understanding of Redshift architecture, including clusters, nodes, and data distribution.
  • AWS certification- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty, AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, OR AWS Certified Developer – Associate HIGHLY PREFERED
  • SQL Proficiency: Advanced SQL querying skills and familiarity with Redshift-specific SQL functions and features.
  • Data Modeling: Ability to design efficient schemas using star and snowflake schema models.
  • ETL Processes: Expertise in data ingestion techniques and integration with AWS Glue or other ETL tools.
  • Automation: Experience automating tasks using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and Redshift Spectrum.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with the latest features and best practices.
