The Supply Chain Manager will lead a split team of Purchasing analysts and Buyers to ensure suitable sources are available to produce external quotes to customers and appropriate stock levels are maintained, while keeping HPS’ costs down and reducing waste wherever possible.  This position will report to our General Manager.


The Supply Chain Manager will also be responsible for:

  • Fostering strong relationships with existing HPS suppliers and developing new sources as needed, as they are vital partners in our supply chain, to ensure internal and external customers’ expectations are being met.
  • Ensuring planning and international logistics initiatives are executed properly.
  • Fully owning, understanding and ensuring HPS’ compliance with international import regulations.
  • Monitoring raw material prices and negotiating prices with suppliers as needed.
  • Working cross-functionally as necessary to resolve problems.
  • Adding to the depth and breadth of the HPS supply chain by actively sourcing new suppliers.
  • Routinely travelling to visit our domestic and international sources to ensure strong relationships, qualify new suppliers, and re-qualify and audit existing suppliers.
  • Staying informed and educated on HPS product and material knowledge.


The ideal HPS Supply Chain Manager will be:

  • Self-disciplined and motivated to own the maintenance and development of the HPS Supply Chain.
  • Able to handle multiple projects effectively and accurately.
  • An excellent communicator with strong people skills to build rapport and trust with international suppliers and effectively communicate where traditional communication methods may be ineffective.
  • Able to understand products that are technical in nature and effectively communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Respected as the trusted leader and mentor of the Supply Chain team, offering clear instruction, fairness, and guidance, while inspiring and motivating teammates to achieve Company goals.
  • Analytical and data driven.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business.
  • 5+ years of Supply Chain experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team to achieve a common goal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required, experience with Business Central a plus.
  • Ability to work onsite, 8:30am – 5:00pm EST Monday-Friday. Limited hybrid arrangement available after applicable.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must always maintain a professional demeanor and thrive in a demanding environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require sponsorship.
