The University of Vermont Health Network is hiring a Head of Human Resources/Director for the Central Vermont Medical Center. With a dual reporting relationship to both the hospital CFO and the Network CPO, the Head/Director will lead all aspects of the HR function (team of 6-7) for the third largest hospital in Vermont - a 1,400 person organization undergoing significant transformation. CVMC includes a sizeable newly-unionized population. The Director will employ strong leadership ability to drive culture and strategy and will have the ability to operate locally and within the enterprise Network environment, which is highly-matrixed (COE structure).


Hybrid work arrangement (2-3 days/week in office). Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus minimum 10+ years’ best-in-class HR experience in roles of increasing scope and responsibility required with 5+ years’ as an HR leader of a large multi-specialist HR function. Master’s degree preferred.


Ideal candidates will be high-potential HR leaders who are well-rounded within the HR discipline. Labor Relations and change management experience is required, LEAN experience and Healthcare industry experience a plus.
