Position Summary:

As the Logistics Manager at Artesian Spas, you will manage all aspects of the inbound and outbound logistics function, ensuring efficient control, delivery, and distribution of products and materials. This role involves implementing an optimized logistic network and operations strategy, and overseeing critical inventory, distribution, and transportation operations to achieve organizational goals and KPIs. The Logistics Manager selects vendors, negotiates rates and service levels, and monitors performance while ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations. Utilizing analytics, this role monitors and measures performance, identifies operational problems, and achieves high performance at optimal cost.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire process of a shipment, from acquisition to delivery.
  • Correspond with clients, suppliers, warehouses, and transportation hubs to ensure efficiency.
  • Lead daily control meetings, identifying issues and actions to be taken.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis of failures and take corrective actions.
  • Provide oversight for budgetary, scheduling, and project databases, regularly reporting to senior managers about progress, plans, and potential problems affecting costs or schedules.
  • Consult with internal business units and vendors to identify improvement opportunities in the supply-chain network.
  • Manage compliance, quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications.
  • Negotiate freight rates and load schedules with freight brokers or independent contractors.
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, and customer issues, including freight claim management.
  • Ensure carrier compliance with policies and procedures for product transit and delivery.
  • Plan and implement improvements within the span of control to drive cost reductions.
  • Participate in carrier management processes such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation.


Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred. A minimum of 5 years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of prior experience coordinating logistics, preferably with international freight and customs requirements.
  • Four or more years of experience in project management or a leadership position.


Computer Skills:

  • Must be proficient in navigating Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Prior experience interacting with an ERP system and exposure to various logistics operations tracking software.
