A Design Assistant at L+P gets exposed to all aspects of the Design Process and will have endless opportunity to grow within the firm. Ultimate job is to support the L+P design team and Principal in day-to-day tasks.

Ideal Candidate will have:


• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a design related field

• Fluency in AutoCAD, RevitGoogleSuite, iWorks, Sketch Up, Adobe suites

• 1-3+ years of interior design experience

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

• Exhibit high level of reasoning and critical thinking

• Problem solving is your super power

• Sharp and obsessive attention to detail


Job description:


• Support the L+P Design team in day-to-day tasks including

• Manage studio materials library including refiling, organizing, sorting and refilling as needed

• Support the PM with budgets, tracking actuals against estimates,

• Be able to create CAD drawings, including but not limited to, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, electrical plans, detailed elevations and custom furniture


• Gather inspiration images for specific projects and studio library

• Source furniture, finishes, and accessories, confirming pricing and availability

• Manage procurement of items and oversight of ordering & deliveries

• Create budgets, schedules, and specifications


• Maintain project binders

• Maintain fabric and materials library

• Pick up & return samples to the design center

• Coordinate vendor presentations for new products and materials

• Distribute relevant product information to design team

• Prepare, manage, and maintain project files, correspondence, drawings, etc.

• A customer service guru who is comfortable communicating with clients, consultants, vendors

• Reliable; You have a dependable vehicle. You are comfortable driving to job sites throughout the Bay Area.


Job Type:

• Full-time, Monday – Friday (40 hours/week with summer Fridays)

• Part time considered

• This is not a remote position
