You will be developing and maintaining the software and infrastructure that supports these models in production and testing environments.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software and environments for pricing, margin risk, and stress testing systems related to financial products and derivatives.
  • Manage and configure resources in both local and AWS cloud environments, deploying QRM’s software on these platforms.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Set up, run, and monitor execution pipelines for model testing, backtesting, and monitoring.
  • Assist in the development of QRM’s databases and ETLs.
  • Integrate model prototypes, libraries, and testing tools using industry best practices and innovations.
  • Create unit and integration tests and enhance test automation tools.
  • Participate in code reviews and present accomplishments.
  • Write technical documentation and user guides.
  • Provide production support and troubleshooting as needed


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Java (preferred) or another object-oriented language, with effective application of design patterns and best coding practices.
  • DevOps experience with a strong understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Git, GitHub, Gradle, Jenkins, Docker, Helm, Harness). Experience with containerized deployment in cloud environments.
  • Experience with cloud technology (preferably AWS), infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform), and managing containerized workloads (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with logging, profiling, monitoring, and telemetry tools (e.g., Splunk, OpenTelemetry).
  • Strong command of database technology, query languages (SQL), non-relational databases, and Big Data technologies, including efficient storage and serialization protocols (e.g., Parquet, Avro, Protocol Buffers).
  • Experience with automated quality assurance frameworks (e.g., Junit, TestNG, PyTest).
  • Experience in high-performance and distributed computing.
  • Proficiency with productivity tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python is beneficial.


Education and/or Experience:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in a computational or numerical field such as computer science, information systems, mathematics, physics
  • 5+ years of experience as a software developer with exposure to the cloud or high-performance computing areas
