Good understanding of NR, LTE Air Interface, and ORAN Fronthaul interface

Hands-on experience of using test equipment such as Signal Generator, Signal Analyzer, various Emulators/Simulators (UE/DU)

Experience in configuring the O-DU Emulator to generate O-RAN C/U/M Plane messages, NR Waveforms and test O-RAN conformance of different O-RU

Experience in executing O-RAN conformance tests and debug issues to find failure root cause

Develop test scripts using UE Emulators for E2E RAN performance using different combination of DU and RU

Execute scripts, debug issues related to E2E RAN Performance tests using UE Emulator

Experience with diagnostic tools such as QXDM/XCAL etc to debug issues

Experience in analyzing test results and generate test reports for ORAN conformance and end-to-end RAN Performance

Knowledge of packet capture tools, UE logs, and spectrum analyzer is a plus

Ability to work with multiple teams from different vendors, identify risks on the test schedule and communicate to the project management teams.



Primary Responsibilities


Collaborate with RU, DU and test equipment vendors and assist in defining test plans covering ORAN Conformance and RAN end to end performance based on the RU/DU/test equipment capability

Configure the O-DU Emulator to generate O-RAN C/U/M Plane messages, NR Waveforms and test O-RAN conformance of different O-RU.

Execute O-RAN conformance tests of O-RU and failure root cause analysis

Develop & Execute test scripts using UE Emulators (or Commercial UEs) for end-to-end RAN performance

Analyze logs to ensure compliance to ORAN specifications

Analyze wireshark pcap files for transport network issues

Work closely with lab point of contacts, technical leaders and program/project managers for timely reporting of test results and observations.

Track/document lifecycle of equipment software versions, patches, bug fixes

Demonstrate, if required, ORAN test cases to leadership teams from the public and private sector.
