Schedule: 2 openings for Friday Sat and 2 openings on Sunday and Monday , 07:00pm - 03:30am (16 hours per week)

Pay Range: $18 per hour

*Pay rate is based on years of experience and educational qualifications.



Job Description:

As a Lab Assistant, you will play a vital role in our clinical laboratory by performing essential tasks that support our laboratory operations. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving and sorting clinical lab specimens, preparing them for testing and analysis, and ensuring that all lab equipment is functioning optimally.


Job Duties/Responsibilities:


Receive and sort clinical lab specimens efficiently.

Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.

Perform scanning and data entry of specimen and patient information.

Ensure lab equipment is functioning properly and conduct minor maintenance as needed.

Troubleshoot specimen-related issues as they arise.

Replenish test bench supplies to maintain workflow.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards.

Complete record logs and other administrative tasks as requested.

Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to uphold safety and quality standards.

Requirements:


High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a medical/lab or production environment is preferred.

Comfortable handling biological specimens.

Ability to accurately identify specimens.

Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.

High level of attention to detail, with strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment and meet established turnaround times.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.

Must pass a standardized color blindness test.

Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
