  • Apply information retrieval techniques to enhance data extraction and content classification, optimizing models for high accuracy and performance.
  • Utilize NLP frameworks to build and fine-tune models that drive the startup’s AI solutions in production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven features into existing platforms.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to a junior team member, offering both technical direction and professional development support.
  • Experiment with and potentially implement symbolic AI and explainable AI (XAI) models to improve model transparency and decision-making processes.
  • Continuously improve system performance by conducting experiments, tuning hyperparameters, and optimizing model architectures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, ML, and NLP, applying new research to current projects.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of deploying ML models in production environments with a high level of performance and scalability.
  • Expertise in Python, including proficiency in libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Familiarity with symbolic AI or explainable AI (XAI) approaches is a strong plus.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning pipelines, from data preprocessing to model evaluation and deployment.
  • Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, with an emphasis on natural language models (e.g., BERT, GPT, Transformer architectures).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, demonstrating leadership and collaboration skills.

Benefits:
