Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assembly & Shipping Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial to assembling our products and ensuring they are shipped efficiently and accurately. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will also play a key part in maintaining an organized and smooth-running warehouse environment, while collaborating with other departments to further the success of OTR Performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Assembly: Assemble product kits with precision and care according to established procedures, ensuring the highest quality.
- Programming Products: Program our products to meet specific requirements before shipping.
- Order Fulfillment: Process customer orders through our software (e.g., ShipStation), ensuring all shipments are accurate and timely.
- Shipping & Receiving: Coordinate shipping logistics, prepare orders for shipment, and receive supplies.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and shipping area, ensuring all operations run smoothly.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, report shortages or issues, and ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination: Work closely with other team members, as well as the sales and customer service departments, to align warehouse operations with overall company goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Seek to continually gain knowledge and experience, while implementing new strategies to improve processes.
- Backup Support: Provide occasional backup support for other warehouse operations, ensuring the team meets all demands.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a systematic warehouse, assembly, or shipping role.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to assemble product kits with precision and follow procedures to ensure accuracy.
- Software Proficiency: Ability to process orders through business software like ShipStation and inventory management systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy packages and stand for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work well with delivery personnel and internal departments.
- Forklift Skills: Forklift operation experience is preferred but not required.
- Self-Motivation: Highly self-motivated, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to fluctuating workflows and work effectively under pressure.
- Organizational Skills: Proven ability to maintain organized workspaces and manage time effectively.
