**This is a full-time in office position**

MUST HAVE 3-10 YEARS OF DIRECT EXPERIENCE IN THE DESIGN OF RETAINING WALLS.

We are specifically seeking a candidate with hands-on experience designing retaining walls (e.g., MSE walls, SRW, or reinforced slopes). General design experience alone will not be considered.


SUMMARY: Perform engineering duties in the planning, estimating and designing of earth retention structures and sound wall barrier systems including MSE, SRW, RSS, soil nail/screw, cast-in-place, and post and panel cantilever walls. This position is responsible for coordinating resources and assessing project data for delivery of preliminary designs; material take-offs; final designs; and shop drawings in accordance with client requirements, project specifications, and regulatory standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assists in project design and development activities based on customer requirements.

· Develops design documentations, technical specifications and other project related documentations as needed.

· Attends project meetings to discuss any issues and new design ideas.

· Works with Manager in developing project plan and schedule.

· Prepares design layouts and sketches according to company design standards.

· Stays abreast with latest developments in design technologies and techniques.

· Addresses design related queries and concerns in a timely manner.

· Assists team members and performs peer review of designs and plans.

· Works with design team in prioritizing, planning, and executing several projects efficiently.

· Reviews and recommends improvements to existing designs.

· Follows company policies and design standards.

· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Indirectly supervises CAD Operator(s) and Design Technicians within the engineering department(s).

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or two years or more of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Certificates, licenses, and registrations: EIT (preferred), PE (preferred)

· Computer skills required: Internet Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Design Software (Vespa, NCMA, ReSSA, MSEW, Slide, L-Pile); Project Management Software; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Presentation software (PowerPoint); and CAD software (AutoCAD).

Other skills:

o Familiarity with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

o Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and adequately answer customer’s questions.

Salary starts at $50K but will be BASED ON EXPERIENCE
