Art Director

Tucker Publishing Group, Inc., print and digital publishers of Evansville Living, Evansville Business, as well as custom publications and projects, is seeking candidates for the position of Art Director. This creative team member has a portfolio that shows smart, well-designed work ranging from publication page design to print and digital campaigns to website work.

The ideal candidate will have five-plus years of graphic design experience and/or art direction at a magazine, advertising agency, or a corporate communications department and display strong communication and collaboration skills. In this role, they will use their design expertise to directly produce editorial and advertising content in Evansville Living, Evansville Business, Evansville Living City View, evansvilleliving.com, Insider and Navigator weekly e-newsletters, custom publications, and other projects – from start to finish in a deadline driven environment.

The Art Director reports to the Creative Director, collaborates with the Publisher, Managing Editor and writers, and engages with the advertising sales team, as well. This position is located in our downtown Evansville, Indiana, office fronting the beautiful Ohio River.

Skills Required:

Candidates must be highly proficient with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

·     Must identify as a visual storyteller, with high standards in combining photography, illustration, typography, and other graphic elements to design engaging layouts.

·     Experience with digital platforms including WordPress, Mail Chimp, and digital advertising production. Google Ad Manager experience will be helpful.

·     Photography and video skills a plus.

·     Bachelor's Degree
