Job Description:

We are looking for a Staff Level Creative Technologist with significant experience with web based 3D rendering and a proven track record working with small, ambitious teams. This person will have a focus on exceptional 3D expertise. This Creative Technologist will be responsible for leading the development of Blitz's web based 3D editor, focusing on features that improve user interaction and model manipulation capabilities. This person will integrate with cutting edge AI technology and workflows and develop real-time collaborative multiplayers in Blitz's web-based 3D editor. The ideal candidate would be equal parts artist and engineer. This person will work on single model editing, heavily working with shaders for 3D rendering for a full featured product. They will need to show mastery in the 3D web space, rather than simple rendering in a character pose.


Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in software development, ideally with experience going from 0 to 1 in ownership and autonomy of a full featured product
  • Proficiency in Three.JS and WebGL libraries as well as WebGPU APIs
  • Proficiency in React, React Three Fiber, and Drei
  • Strong capabilities relating to Shaders, GLSL, and PBR and GSAP for animations
  • Proven mastery with the intricate use of lighting or shapes
  • Experience with Unity, Unreal, Blender and C/C++ as it relates to game engines and 3D models
  • Experience with 3D graphics and rendering
  • Experience working in the gaming industry
  • Experience with MODS platforms, either as a consumer or a developer
  • Experience working within a start up environment
  • Active Git / Github Portfolio and a personal/professional website or portfolio


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with marketing landing pages
  • Experience with real time data streaming and synchronization


Compensation:


$140-$180k

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
