Our client is looking to hire a Network Engineer with expertise in Proxy Operations. The role involves supporting proxy servers for a bank holding company, with operational tasks such as hardware refresh, software testing, upgrades, and policy construction. The position requires experience in enterprise network support and working with Blue Coat technologies. On-call rotation and late-night maintenance are also key parts of this role. Preferred qualifications include Blue Coat certifications and AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification. Its a hybrid contract/CTH position in Plano, TX, or McLean/Richmond, VA. Position Type: Contract

Job Description:

• This position is an operational role.

• As such, periodic late night maintenance work and participation in an on-call rotation will be required.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, equivalent certification or military experience

• At least 2 years' technical leadership experience for an enterprise network or 2 years' experience on enterprise projects or at least 2 years' experience supporting an enterprise infrastructure

• At least 2 years' operational experience supporting proxy servers, including hardware refresh, software testing, software upgrades, policy construction, proxy automatic configuration file (proxy.pac) coding/testing/debugging, and complex troubleshooting techniques (e.g., debugging latency issues, authentication issues, and application functionality issues)

• At least 4 years' operational experience supporting Blue Coat technology (Proxy.

• SG,Management Center, Proxy AV/Content Analysis System (CAS), WebPulse, Data Leak Prevention (DLP), integrated windows authentication from another enterprise-class proxy vendor (Cisco, Forcepoint (formerly Raytheon Websense), Intel Security (McAfee), Zscaler, or Palo Alto Networks

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree

• At least 4 years' technical leadership experience for a large enterprise network or 4 years' experience on large enterprise projects or at least 4 years' experience supporting a large enterprise infrastructure

• At least 6 years' operational experience supporting proxy servers, including hardware refresh, software testing, software upgrades, policy construction, proxy automatic configuration file (proxy.pac) coding/testing/debugging, SSL interception, and complex troubleshooting techniques (e.g., debugging latency issues, authentication issues, and application functionality issues)

• At least 4 years operational experience supporting Blue Coat technology (Proxy SG, Director/Management Center, Proxy AV/Content Analysis System (CAS), WebPulse, Data Leak Prevention (DLP), integrated windows authentication from another enterprise-class proxy vendor (e.g., Cisco, Forcepoint (formerly Raytheon Websense), or Intel Security (McAfee))

• Blue Coat Certified Proxy SC Administrator (BCCPA) certification Blue Coat Certified Proxy SC Professional (BCCPP) certification

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect Associate
