Patient Financial Services Representative


Pride Health is hiring a Patient Financial Services Representative to support our client’s medical facility based in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

This is an 8-week contract with the possibility of an extension. It offers competitive pay and benefits and is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization


Location – Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin (53051)

Length of Assignment – 8 weeks (Possibility of Extension depending on department’s needs)

Pay Range - $20 - $25 an hour

Shift and Schedule - Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm


Job Summary

Responsible for answering all incoming patients and making other phone calls to the Patient Financial Services Department while maintaining appropriate call times. Sorting and distributing mail and scanning correspondence.


Job Duties

  • Courteously, answers are given to all incoming patients and other phone calls to the Patient Financial Services Department.
  • Promptly and effectively resolves general patient inquiries and requests.
  • Courteously and accurately transfers calls to the appropriate staff members while maintaining adequate talk time, aux on time, and a low prescribed number of dropped calls as directed by the manager or coordinator.
  • Distributes mail, faxes, reports, and itemized bills to the appropriate staff members.
  • Picks up and delivers departmental mail to and from the Woodland Prime mailroom at least twice daily.
  • Respond to requests for discharge dates, yearly payment account information, and/or mail itemized bills to the appropriate party.
  • Notes account of any and/or all appropriate activity by utilizing the Epic System.
  • Scan appropriate documents to OnBase for correspondence posting to Epic.
  • Accurately processes all credit card transactions including Outpatient Pharmacy copay assistance payments in the payment processing system.


Requirements

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year of experience billing for medical care/service is required.
  • 1+ years in EPIC billing system.
  • 1+ year in medical revenue cycle.
  • 1+ years in customer service and telephone etiquette.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
  • Experience using computerized billing/collections systems in a hospital setting is preferred.
