The NDT Manager is responsible for the training and qualification of NDT personnel, ensuring that inspections are performed following the applicable technical data and/or standards while providing daily leadership to all technicians within the department. Will perform NDT inspections as required and as needed for training purposes.

Responsibilities:

  • Revise NDT and Techniques manuals when technical circumstances demand
  • Ensure the proper training, qualification, and certification of NDT personnel
  • Develop, maintain, and revise all required records to support the training and qualification of NDT personnel
  • Provide overall quality control and monitoring of all NDT technicians for consistency and compliance with all applicable regulatory guidance
  • Maintain NDT lab to ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements
  • Perform NDT inspections on aircraft and in the lab as required
  • Travel offsite in support of NDT inspections as required
  • Provide leadership to direct reports
  • Perform performance appraisals for all direct reports

Skills/Qualifications:

  • NAS-410 level III certification in MPI, FPI, ET, and UT
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and well-organized
  • Ability to work constructively with other Dynamic Aviation departments
  • FAA Mechanic Certificate (Valid and current FAA Airframe and Powerplant A&P required)

Job Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree through a technical/vocational school is preferred
  • Previous experience performing NDT in Aerospace Industry
