NDT Technician

The NDT Manager is responsible for the training and qualification of NDT personnel, ensuring that inspections are performed following the applicable technical data and/or standards while providing daily leadership to all technicians within the department. Will perform NDT inspections as required and as needed for training purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Revise NDT and Techniques manuals when technical circumstances demand
- Ensure the proper training, qualification, and certification of NDT personnel
- Develop, maintain, and revise all required records to support the training and qualification of NDT personnel
- Provide overall quality control and monitoring of all NDT technicians for consistency and compliance with all applicable regulatory guidance
- Maintain NDT lab to ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements
- Perform NDT inspections on aircraft and in the lab as required
- Travel offsite in support of NDT inspections as required
- Provide leadership to direct reports
- Perform performance appraisals for all direct reports
Skills/Qualifications:
- NAS-410 level III certification in MPI, FPI, ET, and UT
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented and well-organized
- Ability to work constructively with other Dynamic Aviation departments
- FAA Mechanic Certificate (Valid and current FAA Airframe and Powerplant A&P required)
Job Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree through a technical/vocational school is preferred
- Previous experience performing NDT in Aerospace Industry
