Job Title: AWS Data Modeler

Location: Baltimore, MD

Note: Looking for 10-15 years of hands-on Development expertise and should do coding from Day 1


Job Description:

• 12+ years of total experience and at least 4+ years of expertise in Cloud data warehouse technologies on AWS data platform covering – Snowflake, Glue, EMR, Python/Py Spark or Databricks, etc.

• At least should be part of one End-to-end AWS data platform implementation is a must covering all aspects including architecture, design, Data Modeling, data engineering including Orchestration, data visualization, and data governance (specifically data quality and lineage).

• Strong Data Modelling skills covering 3NF and Dimensional modeling

• Proficiency in Databricks and Medallion architecture on AWS platform

• Significant experience with data migrations and development of Operational Data Stores, Enterprise Data Warehouses, Data Lake, and Data Marts.

• Architecting data solutions in Medallion data architecture definition and process for a Data Lake, Lakehouse, DW, analytical marts

• Good hands-on knowledge of SQL and Data Warehousing life cycle is an absolute requirement.

• Perform data analysis and define data models

• Familiarity with agile development methodologies

• Experience with Domain Driven Design for data modeling

• Good to have Experience with cloud ETL and ELT in one of the tools like DBT/Glue/EMR or Matillion or any other ELT tool.

• Good to have Implementation experience and good knowledge of at least one of the Traditional Data Warehouse solutions on Oracle, Teradata, and Oracle Exadata.

• Excellent communication skills to liaise with Business & IT stakeholders.

• Expertise in planning and execution of a project and effort estimation.

• Understanding of Data Vault, data mesh, and data fabric architecture patterns.
