Job description/overview:

He/She will be responsible, among other things, for managing project activities, maintaining and updating the project schedule, managing assignments, monitoring progress and communicating to the project team. The project manager will report to the project director and perform preparing action plans, analyzing risk and managing resources. He/She will work closely with the project team, so strong communications skills are a must. His/Her mission is to manage the project meet quality standards and deliver on time and within budget.


Qualifications:

  • Korean and English Bilingual
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10 or more years of related experience
  • Knowledge or project management, flowcharts, technical documentation, etc.
  • Expert understanding of service and product, and ability to innovate new ways the product can serve customers
  • Innate drive to succeed and take initiative
  • This position requires frequent Travel as needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to ensure clarification and meet specific requirements in a timely manner.
  • Maximize project efficiency and profitability.
  • Assist the Project Leader/Team to establish project objectives, procedures, data collection methods, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
  • Provide Technical/Engineering support for outside and inside customers: Tech Support, Sales, and Factory Engineers etc.
  • Project Management and Assistance duties for scope of work related to Contractors and LSE HQ PMs.
  • Coordination for work activates between LSE and the other parties regarding technical and management requirements.
  • Planning for Daily ongoing activities with Sub-contractor and other involved parties.
  • Preparing of required documentations for the work in progress and the upcoming activities such as "work reports, required all documents"
  • Supervision for daily construction/Installation activities, and related requirements such as " transportations, supplies, logistics, work and access permissions".
  • Active problem-solving member for any work progress obstacles.
  • Follow up the progress of works and material supply.
  • Site survey for upcoming work location and validating the requirements.
  • Work closely with the project stakeholders to achieve the early approval of work increments.
  • Validation of installed works with the LSE, QC team and client.
  • Updating the works documents to last versions and inspect the work processes as per company regulations and client requirements.
  • Review of the sub-contractor Invoices, performances regarding the quantities/quality requirements.
  • Involved in Technical revision of installation drawings and clients' comments.
  • Managing the schedule and supervising all processes of Transport/Storage/installation/Test & Commissioning.
  • Planning project on-site activities with Project Managers including necessary local resources, equipment, and milestones
  • Giving full support to the Site Team and act as the link between Site Team and Project Management on selected projects
  • Interfacing with fabrication yards management to build up a good relationship for effective execution of the works
  • Utilizing effective project management skills involving managing costs, project schedule and procurement of equipment to ensure smooth project execution, timely delivery of all deliverables within budget
  • Ensuring timely updates and submission of site progress reports
  • Ensuring that Site Managers comply with all the contract requirements and LS Electric processes for successful delivery of the yard scope of works.
  • Ensuring that the contract schedule is strictly adhered to by the yards and any slippage is reported to the Project Managers.
  • Anticipating potential variations orders from the yards and develop a strategy with the Project Managers and Contract Manager to minimize the impact to LS Electric In case of delays caused by LS Electric or LS Electric’s customer assist the Project Managers and
  • Contract Manager to develop a strategy to minimize impact.


Pre-Bid/Order Activity:

  • Review Customer's project Drawing and Specification and provide CDE - Compliance sheet.
  • Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them in the field.
  • Interacting with Company’s HQ project teams/Factory Engineers and provide technical guide based on the client's requirement and find out optimal solution.
  • Suggest optimal solution and Value engineering/voluntary alternatives to increase award probability.
  • Outsource local productsolution and get quotation to fill the gap and to meet customer's requirement, as needed.
  • Estimating the project, provide layouts and quotation for the customers.


Post-Bid/Order Activity

  • Participate Technical Evaluation Meeting as company's Engineering representative.
  • Revise drawings and update bill of material


Execution Activity

  • Manage compliance, quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications throughout pre-bid, Post Bid and Execution stage.
  • Track performance and analyze the completion of key goals.
  • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
  • Maintain budgetary, scheduling, and project database oversight, and report regularly to project lead to keep him/her constantly informed of job progress, plans and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules
  • Document and report project progress to stakeholders and clients.
  • Manage field technical/Engineering work.
  • Manage technical/engineering/Quality issues throughout the project.
  • Manage outsource supplier/Service provider.
  • Coordinate short circuit and arc flash studies, review relay settings and support field techs as needed.


Pre-sales activity

  • Visit Engineering firms and present company product to specify company’s equipment in their project and provide layouts and budget pricing.

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to project assistants
  • Collaborate on stakeholder presentations
  • Foster positive relationship with stakeholders
