Oncology Rehab and Wellness Resources is an outpatient physical therapy provider located in Lansdowne, VA. We are the only privately-owned Oncology Rehab practice in Northern Virginia and the only rehabilitation provider in the region that exclusively treats cancer patients and survivors.


Our clinicians are dedicated to assisting individuals through the physical challenges of cancer treatment and recovery and helping those with lymphedema manage their condition. We have 2 Certified Lymphedema Therapists on staff currently and would love to have another This role comes with great career growth potential as we are a small but steadily growing clinic. Owned and operated by a physical therapist, with a strong focus on high quality, one on one patient care. We offer extensive training so no experience in cancer rehab is necessary Train and mentor with our cancer specialized therapist(s) that have over 26 years of experience in the field. If you have an interest in oncology, this is a great opportunity for a new graduate.


We have a very low per day expectation. Extended treatment times are often permitted to meet the needs of our more complex patients. No double booking - we value (and our patients need) one on one time as we have a strong focus on quality, not quantity of care.


Role Description

This is a full-time (OR part- time) position- flexible - set your own schedule This is an on-site role as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant. Your day-to-day tasks will include providing rehabilitation services to patients currently undergoing cancer treatment or those who have completed cancer treatment. For those with CLT certification, you will also be responsible for assisting lymphedema patients improve their symptoms and improve their quality of life.


Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Experience working with cancer patients is a plus
  • Passion for working with oncology patients is a key trait we look for. Skills are trainable, passion is not.
  • Certified Lymphedema Therapist a plus (or interest in pursuing certification)
  • Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia
