The Event Coordinator is a full-time position based out of Detroit, that assists with planning events at all 3 Atwater Taproom Locations.

Primary responsibilities for this role include planning and activation of In-House Events, as well as planning and execution of Booked Events.

The ideal candidate for the role will have a high level of professional etiquette, will be able to roll up their sleeves and work alongside the team when necessary, and will also be able to manage a flexible 40/week work schedule--including some nights, weekends, and holidays.

In House Events

· Assist in permitting, planning, and marketing, for in-house events including:

o Atwater Bloktoberfest

o Labor Day

o Booked 5ks and 10k Races

o Michael Sadler Memorial

o Women’s Day Celebration

o Additional Events as Assigned

· Assist in menu development and launch of Pop-Up Detroit Speakeasy

o Halloween Spookeasy

o Holiday Speakeasy

o New Years Eve Speakeasy

o Prohibition Speakeasy (Summer)

· Community Building events and managing interactions with non-profit organizations as well as local community stakeholders

Booked Events (events booked by you with contract and/or agreement to spend):

· Work one-on-one with client for event (budget, meal selection, etc)

· Execute event walk throughs as needed based on consumer inquiries

· Review of all events within 30 days with immediate supervisor prior to event

· Quarterly update of pamphlet pricing in addition to development of seasonal opportunities (seasonal beers, cocktails, menu choices, etc)

· Discuss with FOH manager of location required items needed for order one week prior to event and staff is scheduled accordingly

· Brief recap of each event to be discussed with immediate supervisor and saved to One Drive within one week of event (what was supposed to happen, what did happen, what went well, what can be improved)

· Work with customers to up-sell event packages and maximize on-site experience

· Marketing: 20 cold calls monthly including packet drop off, emails, and/or participation in local events

· Track number of inquiries received compared to how many inquiries booked (close rate)

· Manage a schedule that allows oversite of all events while also maximizing collaboration events with Detroit based Atwater Team

· Maintain documentation on proper execution and presentation of food prep and event procedures

· Ensure all FOH management team can conduct walkthrough in event of your absence.

· Maintain an email list of contacts including vendors to send event opportunities as well as general Atwater events

· Assist FOH managers with live entertainment as need permits

· Additional Duties as assigned

Additional Tasks:

· Social Media Management—work with Marketing Manager on development of social media posts to promote events, as well as management of social channels

· Management of comprehensive event calendar for all 3 Taproom locations (internal and consumer facing)

· Open Table Management for all 3 Taproom locations

· Attend Community Building Events like Chamber of Commerce Meetings, Neighborhood Meetings, Etc.

Preferred Requirements:

· College Degree Preferred

· Hospitality Industry Experience Preferred

· Sales Experience Preferred

· Ensure Atwater brand company values and standards are being upheld
