Territory Sales Representative
AmeriQual Foods, an Evansville, IN based food manufacturer, is seeking a motivated, reliable individual to act as a Territory Sales Representative. This position plays a crucial role in driving our business success by connecting with potential customers, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions. This dynamic role requires a results-driven individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for building lasting customer relationships.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and lead generation activities.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients by understanding their goals and challenges.
- Report out on weekly measurables.
- Develop and proactively maintain a sufficient knowledge of the industry by building relationships with industry experts to learn growth trends and issues.
- Attend industry trade shows, trade association gatherings, etc., as part of the company’s overall marketing efforts
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions and deals in the CRM system (Pipedrive)
- Work closely with the R&D, sales, financial and operations functions within the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, or Food Science preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of selling experience within the food manufacturing or food service markets with focus in one of the following fields: marketing, business development or contract manufacturing
- Proven experience in sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to manage proposal processes and team relationships to ensure effective collaboration by various contributors to the process, including contributors from multiple offices/units and at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in RTE/shelf-stable food manufacturing company is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Position able to be primarily remote, but will require ability to travel ~50% of the time
