Shipping Supervisor

Position: Shipping Supervisor

Pay Rate/Salary: 28/hr

Location: Tracy, CA

Schedule: 1st Shift 6:00am - OT is required

Job Purpose:

The Shipping Supervisor oversees operations to meet production and quality standards, ensuring a safe work environment. Responsibilities include training operators and coordinating schedules.

Job duties:

• Review daily orders and prioritize.
• Ensure correct products are loaded.
• Communicate customer requirements to Lead personnel.
• Determine whether to ship from production or inventory.
• Make decisions regarding substitutions.
• Work with Production Manager to generate a production schedule.
• Assist in determining monthly inventory levels.
• Aide in conducting quality checks on all returned goods.
• Communicate with Traffic Dispatcher/6014 Personnel.
• Coach and follow up on subordinates.
• Ensure subordinates adhere to safety rules.
• Adhere to safety, EEOC and OSHA policies.
• Ensure equipment security.
• Housekeeping in shipping and warehouse area.
• Responsible for communicating and assisting in the preventive and predictive maintenance in assigned area.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.
• Ensure quality of rolls and work is to standards.
• Initiate Corrective and Preventive action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities related to product, process and the system
• Identify and/or record any problems relating to the product, process and the quality system.
• Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
• Should continuously observe the process in his/her area of responsibility and immediately notify the Traffic Manager of any suspected nonconformance.
• Note: No food or drinks are to be brought into the actual work area.

Qualifications:

• Industrial warehouse background required.
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with decision-making ability
• Strong attendance record
• Self-motivated and able to work well in teams
• Ability to multitask and perform preventive maintenance
