ASSISTANT MANAGER - ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Objective: Carry out daily operational task and functions

1.1. Perform opening and closing procedures

1.2. Handle the resolution of escalated guest service issues and diffuse situations through proper service recovery techniques.

1.3. Control cash and other receipts by adhering to policies and procedures.

1.4. Assist with scheduling staff according to forecast and staffing tools and employee time record keeping

1.5. Perform administrative tasks and paperwork in a timely and organized manner


2. Objective: Supervise, motivate, and train the staff to perform their best at providing superior guest service and delivering proper experience.

2.1. Support the staff to meet sales targets via proactive supervision.

2.2. Train, train and continue training to develop the staff and provide the necessary knowledge to perform their daily tasks.

2.3. Foster teamwork and align the staff to work in a collaborative way.

2.4. Manage corrective actions to provide feedback and improve behavior and performance.

2.5. Participate in recruitment by screening applicants, interviewing, and hiring.


3. Objective: Ensure that the physical aspect of the theater is ready and in shape to deliver the Cinema experience.

3.1. Walkthrough of the theater to make sure that the FOH and BOH is ready, clean, organized to ensure that we are ready to service our guests.

3.2. Ensure proper stock replenishment.

3.3. Ensure staff wear appropriate attire/uniform.

3.4. Ensure that all equipment is kept clean, in excellent working condition and supervise all preventative periodic maintenance is being conducted.

3.5. Guard and supervise actively the well handling of all technology equipment including tablets, printers, KDS, radios and more.


4. Objective: Manage Inventory of supplies, foods, drinks, chemicals, etc. to assure proper stockage to meet expected customer demand, control COGS and minimize loses, following the standard operating procedures and guidelines mandated by the Finance Department.

4.1. Control monitor in-store stock levels to prevent under or overstock.

4.2. Place orders

4.3. Process deliveries and verify items received.

4.4. Perform periodic physical inventory counts.

4.5. Maintain clean and organized all stock rooms.


5. Objective: Observe all Cinema Policies as well all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain as Food Safety, Health, and Safe Work conditions Health

5.1. Report areas of concern to the General Manager and use proper judgement in handling issues.

5.2. Follow the proper protocols and refer to the employee handbook when employee issues arise.

5.3. Report any guest or employee incident and follow the protocols immediately.

5.4. Assist in providing proper coaching and applying disciplinary action through the General Manager.

5.5. Maintain active certifications in all required areas of food handling and alcohol awareness.

5.6. Follows proper human resource policies as it relates to proper coaching and managing staff issues and concerns.

5.7. Ensure that the proper SOPs are followed daily.


ASSISTANT MANAGER - EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Prefer a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality or related field or

• At least 3 years experience in managing a Food & Beverage operation with over 50 employees in a high volume, fast paced venue.

• Or a combination of experience and education

• Working knowledge of POS systems preferably VISTA but can be Micros, TOAST or Aloha

• Working knowledge of Microsoft software including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint

• Competent in using spreadsheets, formulas, and basic to advanced excel functions.


ASSISTANT MANAGER - SKILLS

• Hospitality skill that can be transferred to the team such as using proper hospitality verbiage, greeting and guest recovery techniques.

• Leadership skill to manage, motivate and develop team members.

• Excellent communication skill (written/verbal) and strong listening skills.

• Problem solve skill

• Conflict resolution skill

• Organizational skill to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, set goals, and build a plan.



ASSISTANT MANAGER - CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Food Handler and/or ServSafe certification within 30 days of employment.

• Training compliance, bartender certification (if applicable), Alcohol Server permit where required by law.


ASSISTANT MANAGER - PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Work is performed in the theater which is well lit but can be dark or dimly lit.

• Work is performed with proper ventilation.

• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).

• Be able to reach, bend, stop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

• Reliable, consistent work attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position.



ASSISTANT MANAGER - WORKING SCHEDULE

• Must be able to work nights, weekends & holidays
