Position Overview:
The Senior Estimator will play a pivotal role in the success of the company by accurately estimating and preparing bids for multiple concurrent heavy highway projects. - Conduct thorough reviews of project plans, specifications, and contract documents to identify potential risks, scope changes, and opportunities for value engineering.
- Work directly with customers, including owners, engineers, and contractors, to clarify project scope, resolve questions, and ensure that all parties have a clear understanding of the project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate cost estimates are aligned
- Perform cost analysis on materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive pricing
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in estimating for heavy highway, earthwork, and/or concrete construction projects. Experience with small- to mid-sized projects is preferred.
- Strong understanding of asphalt, concrete, grading, excavation, and related civil construction processes. Familiarity with current industry standards, codes, and regulations is essential.
