We are assisting a company in Easton, MD to find a Software Engineers


JOB OBJECTIVE: To design, develop and document business applications and middleware to support the day-to-day utility business operations. Provide support and training for users on new applications. This is a full-time, exempt position

MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Participates on a software development team supporting a project lead. Takes direction from lead and executes to project specifications.

· Provide support for users with business applications. Analyze and document problems, recommend solutions, and initiate corrective actions. Follow up on problem resolution and inform users of status.

· Design and develop software within the guidelines set by the company Software Standards document.

· Ensure that all software is formally tested in a background test environment before being deployed in the “Live” environment. All software is to be cataloged in our GIT version control system.

· Contribute to the IT Knowledge Base by supplying written documentation related to the deployment and use of newly developed applications. This documentation would include installation and user manuals.

· Participate in IT team meetings, providing input and suggestions.

· Enhance service and productivity by providing support to other employees and filling in as requested by management.

· Regular, reliable attendance is a requirement of this job.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

For placement at Software Engineer I (Hiring range $82,677/yr. or higher depending upon experience and qualifications)

  • Four-year degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of software development experience
  • Must have well developed analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft .NET development tools (C#), JavaScript, SQL, JSON Web Services, and SSRS.
  • Apple and Android development experience desirable
  • Good technical writing and presentation skills are desirable.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

For placement at Software Engineer II (Hiring range $90,568/yr. or higher depending upon experience and qualifications)

  • In addition to the requirements Software Engineer I;
  • Minimum of five years of software development experience or 15 or more years of software development experience in lieu of degree

For placement at Software Engineer III (Hiring range $99,214/yr. or higher depending upon experience and qualifications)

  • In addition to the requirements Software Engineer II;
  • Minimum of ten years of software development experience or 20 or more years of software development experience in lieu of degree
