Commercial Metallurgist - Technical Services Metallurgist

Fortune 400 company - Estimated total compensation $130-180k (base plus bonus plus profit sharing

• Work with Sales, operations, and customers to provide solutions to technical and metallurgical issue
• Review incoming specs and customer inquiries to ensure excellent performance of engineered steel bar products in each end us
• Work with operations to improve quality performance, cost, and yield of existing product
• Work with customers to develop new products and capabilitie
• Work with operations departments to share customer preferences, industry benchmarks, metallurgical training, and state of the marke
• Support customer visits and tours at the mill as well as participating in visits to customer facilities and industry events—-Some travel required

Requiremen

• BS Metallurgical or Materials engineering or equivale
• 5+ years in high quality steel making (mini mill or fully integrated) or engineered bar or steel component manufacturing
• Technical support experience highly desired
