Microwave Engineer

Boulder Environmental Sciences and Technology (BEST) is working on the next generation of environmental remote sensors. Our cutting-edge remote sensing technology is built for various platforms, for example, ground, buoy, or spacecraft. Currently, our projects’ operational frequency range is from 6 to 200 GHz. Our goal is to make passive microwave remote sensing more practical and reliable, so it can be widely used. Our leadership will support new hire, enable her/him to work creatively, with minimal supervision, to achieve mastery, and recognition.

The work offers a lot of room for your creativity, initiative, growth, and there is very little bureaucracy. This is a hands-on experience. It includes working with hardware. You will be expected to design, simulate, build, test, evaluate systems and sub-systems, find out what is not working, and repeat. We are looking for a person who has experience with working with hardware, components, circuits, assemblies design, creating tests for their evaluation.

BEST expects the candidate to document the work fully and contribute to technical reports, proposals, and budget estimates in support of research activities.

Master’s or higher degree in electrical engineering, experience in the field of microwave engineering, and US citizenship are preferred.
