We are aggressively looking for an accomplished Creative Director in the field of packaging design for consumer "hard goods" products. This inspiring and dynamic leader will manage and develop a second team of packaging designers, copywriters, and industrial designers in support of several of our most profitable brands (like COBY, Car & Driver and ChargeWorx).


We are looking for a hands-on supervisor who can get things done, on-time and on-budget.... who is also an experienced packaging designer that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and loves the challenge of discovering what drives consumer decision making and purchasing behaviors.


Our successful candidate will look to consistently create distinctive and eye-catching physical packaging, that helps sell our products on the shelves of major national retail chains in North America.


You would be part of an amazing, very entrepreneurial team, that fosters effective collaboration and partnership with all of our key internal constituencies: Sales, Product Development & Sourcing, and Brand Management.

What you need to be successful:


  • Proven professional experience working as an inhouse Art / Creative Director within a consumer products company
  • 5+ years of physical consumer, "hard goods" packaging experience (preferably within the field of consumer electronics)
  • A strong portfolio which includes packaging design work for consumer electronics
  • Hands-on experience with: in-house design and production processes; complex and unique physical packaging design and die lines; unique consumer products packaging; typography; color; print production; image selection; branding and logo design; 3D Printing; Industrial design.
  • Proficient knowledge and use of Adobe's Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator); various 3D modelling & image rendering software; KeyShot, Rhino, Blender, and SolidWorks
  • Great knowledge of latest packaging trends and production process
