Senior Financial Analyst

Position Summary

Highly successful, 20+ year old boutique hedge fund is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Analyst will work directly with  the Investment team to analyze potential investment opportunities in public companies and identify and assess associated risks. This position requires a candidate with a comprehensive understanding of how to interpret SEC filings for U.S. listed public companies. The candidate must come into the position skilled in analyzing all aspects of public company financial statement analysis and modeling. 

Position Responsibilities

· Identify and assess financial and operational risks in connection with investment structures

· Interact with company management where appropriate and challenge findings that impact proposed investments;

· Communicate effectively with the Investment Team and assist in preparing written memoranda to the Investment Committee

· Attend, and present at meetings of the Investment Committee to discuss risks and merits of potential investments;

· Travel with Investment Team members to attend on-site visits at current or potential portfolio companies

Position Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance

· CPA or CFA designations preferred

· 5+ years experience at Accounting Firm, Investment Bank or Hedge Fund

· Research, Accounting and Due Diligence Experience

· Outstanding communication and presentation skills
