Company Profile: The MVP Consulting Group is a full scale regulatory healthcare and compliance consulting firm that specializes in: licensing/accreditation obtainment and regular compliance;. Some specialty services we provide include Joint Commission, AAAHC, Quad A, and CMS Consultation. Our clients consist of Ambulatory Surgery Centers Hospital Organizations going through initial or reaccreditation.


Job Profile: The Quality Improvement Nurse Consultant is a dedicated healthcare professional specializing in enhancing the quality of patient care and organizational performance within multiple healthcare settings (ambulatory surgery centers and hospitals organizations).


**This role may require some travel to our client organizations' sites (specific to southern California and the opportunity to provide services outside Southern California). All travel and lodging will be covered/reimbursed by the company.**


Illustrative Tasks:

  • Drafting policies and procedures in line with various state and regulatory agencies (i.e.- Joint Commission, AAAHC, Quad A, CMS, NCQA, and DHCS).
  • Completing accreditation applications on behalf of client organizations.
  • Educate and train director level personnel on various policies and procedures
  • Interpret and analyze technical jargon from above mentioned regulatory bodies and provide client organizations with ongoing support.
  • Develop quality improvement measures for client organizations.
  • Aid team, as needed, in various levels of the project management process.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled virtual meetings with client organizations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, and Education:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license and relevant clinical experience.
  • Advanced degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Certification in Healthcare Quality (e.g., CPHQ) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in quality improvement methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines effectively.)


Required Experience:

  • At least 3 years of ambulatory healthcare compliance experience with regulatory bodies.
  • Previous experience leading or managing site surveys or audits from the above regulatory bodies.
  • Previous experience writing policies and procedures for the above regulatory bodies either as a consultant or as a full-time employee of a company.
  • Ability to provide examples of self-authored policies and procedures.
  • Must be detailed oriented and able to work independently when needed.
  • Proficiency in: Zoom and Google Suite.


Desired Experience:

  • Able to plan and manage multiple projects.
  • Previous work in Ambulatory Facilities and leading Ambulatory Accreditations for Joint Commission, AAAHC, Quad A, CMS, NCQA, and/or DHCS).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment
