Riser Technician

The successful candidate will be able to work in an offshore or a foreign location for extended periods, performing hands-on inspection and maintenance of risers. Experience of drilling risers and qualification in NDT, or manufacturing would be an advantage.

To be successful you need to be self-driven to learn, be inquisitive about your work, and want to deliver beyond the requirements of the role. As a small company the role requires individuals to be flexible in their duties and a manage a portfolio of tasks often with conflicting priorities.

Field Work: Conduct inspection, measurement, and maintenance of risers. Plan and prepare work to be executed in the field including, safety procedures, workplans and logistics, interacting with customers and suppliers to ensure safe and efficient execution of scope. Ensuring assignments are completed on time and to the necessary technical standard.

May be required to work at heights or in confined spaces, in demanding conditions offshore and overseas or during public and festive holidays for extended periods of time in an irregular schedule. Workdays away from the office will receive an additional premium. The role may require time away from home, offshore, and overseas for about 120 days throughout the year.

Qualifications: Must have experience of conducting technical inspection of equipment or structures. Must have an understanding of web-based asset management databases and have the ability to enter results, photos, and measurements into database accurately. Be proficient in MS Office.

Compensation: Dependent on experience and qualification. A salary range from $60K - $80K plus a premium for each day worked offshore or overseas. Medical insurance is provided as are 21 days of paid vacation.
