Manage information systems projects across multiple functional areas and geographically spread locations. The position facilitates, organizes and manages the implementation of major IS initiatives in support of business goals and objectives. The PM will work closely with internal and external resources to understand technical and business requirements, define a solution, and manage the process to achieve the solution. A thorough understanding of business software applications is at the core of this job. The role requires an exceptionally high level of analytical ability to identify, define, interpret and resolve issues.


Responsibilities

  • The PM will be responsible for developing detailed project plans specifying project deliverables, milestones, required tasks, timelines and contingency plans for project assignments.
  • Ensure that projects progress on schedule, within scope and within budget. Track project progress, report project status, facilitate resolution of issues and escalate issues to management and/or project steering committee when necessary. Coordinate project planning and status meetings.
  • Manage the interfaces and communication between people and organizations, including the people reporting directly to the PM, their managers and the steering committees, if they exist. Employ appropriate methods to motivate, coordinate, facilitate and administer the project team.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business or Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite; specifically MS-Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Minimum of 5-7 years business experience in PM roles within relevant manufacturing/processing/distribution companies including experience in a medium to large, multi-location company operating multiple shifts.
  • Must have verifiable experience in; business analysis/re-engineering, application development life cycle, specification writing, budget development/management, vendor selection/management, documentation and training.
  • The qualified candidate must have a big picture perspective and a solid understanding of corporate-wide functions, specifically how ITS supports other functions.
  • The successful candidate will have a very high level of communication skills to support and interact with internal and external customers to lead large projects, to interact with potential vendors to evaluate their products and lead projects as required, as well as for presentations to Sr. mgmt and customers.
  • PMP certification required
  • SAP Highly desired
