Position Overview:

The Senior Real Estate Attorney will be responsible for handling a wide range of real estate legal matters, including commercial and residential transactions, land use and zoning issues, leasing, and real estate development. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in real estate law, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex legal projects from inception to completion.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support on a variety of real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development projects.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, purchase agreements, leases, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence for real estate transactions, including title review, environmental assessments, and zoning compliance.
  • Advise clients on land use, zoning, and regulatory matters.
  • Manage and resolve disputes related to real estate transactions, including litigation if necessary.
  • Work closely with clients, real estate agents, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and successful transactions.
  • Stay current on developments in real estate law and regulations to provide proactive and informed legal counsel.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys and legal staff within the firm.
  • Assist in business development efforts by building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry professionals.


Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on commercial and residential transactions.
  • Proven track record of managing complex real estate transactions from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of Colorado real estate laws and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
