Responsible for successful development, execution, and communication of financial and inventory plans. Partner with site management team, merchandising, planning, DC, store operations and flex fulfillment teams to ensure maximum sales through all fulfillment channels. Implement strategies that meet and exceed sales, gross margin, GMROI, and inventory goals for all business categories.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive business results through management of Brand/Department/Category/Class/Subclass level for Sales, Margin, and Inventory plans. Partner with Merchant to develop and execute financial plans and productivity goals for assigned Category and Brand. Owns the first review of financial plans and forecasts for both pre-season and in-season for area of responsibility
  • Inform and influence in-season business performance for the Brand/Department/Category level by developing forward looking inventory strategies, managing risk and opportunities through the OTB process; present Brand/Department/Category positioning and opportunities to Director/VP’s. Ensure detailed and accurate forecasts, analysis, timely receipt flow, and optimum levels of inventory to balance turn and in-stock ratios. Investigate and trouble shoot inventory discrepancies that will affect the ability to manage ecommerce inventory correctly. Ensure ecommerce orders to go out timely and create a positive customer experience.
  • Support margin optimization with strategic initiatives that align with annual financial plans managed through category plans, sales mix by category strategies (Regular, Promotional/Brilliant Value, Clearance), SKU margin performance, and promotional cadence.   • Drive allocation strategy that supports inventory, turnover, and sales goals. Manage Inventory levels with timely receipt of core replenishment, review in-stocks and take necessary action to ensure goals are consistently met. Manage and execute monthly SKU level sales and purchase forecasting for inventory optimization, initiate SKU level allocation and strategy for core, test, and exit of merchandise.
  • Provide leadership, training, mentoring and engage with cross functional business partners. Encourage and mentor skill development by sharing experience and knowledge as a method of training to ensure retention, job satisfaction, and future talent development.


Qualifications:

  • Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience: Experience in Retail or Product management.
  • Advanced Analytics identifying trends and issues and ability to determine root cause; Supervisory experience a plus; Experience building and managing productive assortments.
  • Years of Job-Related Experience Required: 4+ years
  • Technical/Other Skills Required: Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Retail Math, Planning Application & Systems
