Construction Paralegal

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Paralegal to join the legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction law, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage a diverse range of tasks.
Job Title: Construction Paralegal
Location: San Francisco, CA
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize, review, and maintain construction project documents, contracts, permits, and other legal documentation.
- Assist in the drafting, review, and negotiation of construction contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
- Conduct thorough legal research on construction laws, regulations, and precedents to support case preparation and ensure compliance.
- Support attorneys in construction dispute resolution, including preparation of claims, mediation, arbitration, and litigation processes.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations affecting construction projects.
- Manage case files, track deadlines, and coordinate with legal teams to ensure timely handling of construction-related legal matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field; Paralegal certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on construction law.
- In-depth understanding of construction law, including contracts, compliance, and dispute resolution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and document management systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
