Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: North Houston
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully building or revamping value streams or product lines, as well as experience with electromechanical components, equipment, or parts. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and ensure product quality. Light travel to Europe is required as part of this position.
Responsibilities:
Value Stream and Product Line Optimization
- Lead efforts to analyze, design, and implement improvements to value streams and product lines for electromechanical products.
- Identify areas for optimization, efficiency gains, and cost reduction within manufacturing processes.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and enhance overall productivity.
Process Improvement
- Conduct thorough analyses of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance process efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and standard operating procedures.
Quality Assurance
- Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Implement quality control measures to monitor and maintain product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Investigate and resolve any quality-related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
Supplier Collaboration
- Collaborate with suppliers to optimize materials sourcing and procurement processes.
- Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with company objectives.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
- Generate reports and present findings to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics, process improvements, and areas for further optimization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent field.
- 5-15 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on electromechanical products.
- Proven track record of building or revamping a value stream or product line.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex manufacturing processes and propose effective solutions.
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel internationally (light travel to Europe).
- Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience (preferred, but not mandatory).
