Overview: Pacific Executive Search has been engaged on a search for a Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for a biotech manufacturing firm. The position will oversee two very strong senior directors and have full ownership of data analytics. It is really important that they bring in someone with either distribution or manufacturing experience who can implement a company-wide analytics vision. Description: **Responsibilities**

• Enhance organizational visibility and predictability through accurate and timely financial planning and reporting.
• Compile and present monthly Business Review package for senior management, including results vs. budget and prior year, segment level results, and regional business updates.
• Analyze sales data, provide insights on key performance indicators, and coordinate with FP&A and operational teams to deliver materials.
• Lead enhancements to reporting applications and automate processes to improve efficiency.
• Develop and consolidate financial dashboards for senior management to enable comparisons and insights.
• Ensure consistent messaging and prepare management write-ups for CFO with key action items.
• Provide leadership to finance department, including staff development and succession planning.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and control operations to budget through timely and accurate analyses.

**Qualifications**

• Minimum 15 years of experience in financial planning, analytics, or budgeting, with at least 10 years in a management role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA/CPA or advanced Finance degree preferred.
• Exceptional presentation and writing skills to convey relevant messages linking business issues, financial results, and strategy.
• Proven competence in data mining, analysis, and modeling, advanced Excel skills, and strong PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent analytical, conceptual, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to think creatively.
• Detail-oriented, accurate, and inquisitive with the ability to work well in a team-oriented, dynamic environment.
• Leadership capability to manage a team, develop talent, and drive operational finance, planning, and analysis.
