Position Overview:

As a Web Developer at Jake's Fireworks, you will play a critical role in enhancing and maintaining our web presence. You will work closely with our marketing, design, and IT teams to develop user-friendly, visually appealing, and responsive websites. Your expertise will help drive our e-commerce platform, promotional campaigns, and overall digital strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain websites for Jake's Fireworks and its associated brands.

- Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX wireframes into functional web pages.

- Implement responsive design principles to ensure optimal performance across various devices.

- Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.

- Integrate third-party tools and APIs to enhance website functionality.

- Conduct regular site audits to identify and fix bugs, improve performance, and ensure security.

- Stay updated with the latest web development trends, techniques, and technologies.

- Assist in the development and execution of e-commerce strategies.

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for web-related issues.

- Work with the marketing team to implement SEO best practices and improve site visibility.

 

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

- 3+ years of experience in web development, with a strong portfolio of past projects.

- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).

- Experience with server-side programming languages (e.g., PHP, Python, or Node.js).

- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Magento, or Drupal).

- Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.

- Strong knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Experience with database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with e-commerce platforms and payment gateways.

- Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.

- Familiarity with cloud services and hosting solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).

- Basic understanding of graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
