Purpose


The Shipping Supervisor will oversee all shipping and receiving at EHOB Distribution Center.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversees the shipping and receiving activities for the Distribution Center
  • Supervises shipping personnel and their daily activities
  • Prepare items for shipment
  • Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Responsible for training all personnel in the shipping department
  • Ensures all orders are accurately picked and labeled to order specification
  • Investigates all shipping errors and customer complaints
  • Ability to troubleshoot and correct any errors found on shipping documents
  • Act as a liaison between shipping and customer service
  • Has general knowledge of international commercial invoices
  • Understands FedEx and UPS small pack systems
  • Has experience with small parcel, ltl, truckload and international shipping processes
  • Complies with ISO and company requirements
  • Maintains warehouse safety and cleanliness
  • Supervise shipping personnel
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications


  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
