Position Overview:

St. Andrew Classical Catholic School is seeking a passionate and qualified Middle and High School Art Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for the classical tradition, a strong commitment to Catholic education, and a desire to inspire students to explore and express themselves through various forms of artistic expression.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum that aligns with the classical education model and integrates Catholic principles and values.

Teach art classes to students in middle school and high school, covering a range of artistic mediums including drawing, painting and digital art.

Foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through engaging and hands-on art projects and activities.

Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them develop their artistic skills and techniques.

Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves artistically and explore their talents.

Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects and initiatives across the curriculum.

Organize and oversee art exhibitions, showcases, and other events to celebrate student work and promote the arts within the school community.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, upcoming projects, and other relevant information.

Uphold the mission and values of St. Andrew Classical Catholic School, serving as a positive role model for students and embodying the principles of faith, integrity, and excellence.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

Valid teaching certification/license (or eligibility for certification/license) in Art Education.

Previous teaching experience at the middle or high school level, preferably in a classical or Catholic school setting.

Demonstrated expertise in various artistic mediums and techniques with a strong portfolio of personal artwork.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.

Passion for both art and education, with a commitment to inspiring and empowering students to explore their creativity and reach their full potential.
