Compass Point is a premier full-service investment firm providing a wide range of banking and research services to our clients. We serve as an expert advisor and resource to corporate clients and institutional asset managers including mutual funds, hedge funds, and family offices.


We are currently seeking a highly motivated FinTech Analyst to join our Research team. With a focus on the financial technology sector, the ideal candidate will be able to analyze companies and trends across multiple financial sectors. Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to write research reports and communicate investment ideas. 



Responsibilities


  • Create industry and company specific research reports covering the financial technology sector.
  • Ability to generate and effectively communicate investment ideas.
  • Corroborate with sales team with institutional client interactions.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and valuation analysis.
  • Analyze earnings reports, conference calls, transcripts, market data and industry publications.
  • Possess a deep understanding of companies under coverage and industry trends.
  • Participate in calls and meetings with investors, company management and the sales team.



Qualifications


The following are the minimum requirements for this position:


  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sell-side equity research.
  • Superior verbal and demonstrated written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work both independently and collaboratively, and be flexible with work hours.
  • Fully licensed with Series 7,63, 86 & 87.
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree from a leading institution with evidence of strong academic success. CFA or progress toward a CFA is preferred.


The ideal candidate will quickly integrate and become a meaningful contributor to the team.
