Great opportunity to join a 46 year old company, with the ability to work in a friendly atmosphere. This position is primarily operating a small office which includes Accounting, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Journal entries, Bank reconciliation, and Monthly sales tax.

The right candidate will be personable; extremely detail oriented; adapts easily to changing deadlines ; flexible to changing duties and priorities based on needs; able to prioritize; able to effectively communicate with other employees to efficiently manage workflow.


Responsibilities

*Work closely with the owner to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity

*Compiling monthly accounting reports for CPA

*Daily bank balances

*Prepare payrolls, payroll tax returns, and sales tax returns

*Prepare GL, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations

*Assist in ordering and yearly licenses

*Answering phones

*Creating forms

*Making copies

*Filing


Qualifications

*Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance

*2 years experience in accounting and taxes

*Minimum 1 year tax preparation experience

*Experience with Peachtree Accounting Software

*Proficient in Microsoft Office application
