POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Manager ensures that the organization’s computer systems are running smoothly and to oversee the implementation of and maintenance to IT systems. The IT Manager must work with individuals at all levels of the organization to ensure company and departmental needs are met.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Assists personnel with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of system hardware and software

·        Offers daily operations and systems support to personnel

·        Verifies functionality of hardware and software components

·        Troubleshoots IT issues in person, remotely, and by phone. Assists personnel with issues.

·        Conducts daily network back up operations

·        Repairs or replaces damaged hardware

·        Upgrades the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers

·        Installs, maintains, and upgrades anti-virus software to ensure security at user and network levels

·        Performs tests and evaluations on new hardware and software

·        Manages technical documentation

·        Monitors performance of IT systems and makes recommendations from improving the IT infrastructure.

·        Analyzes business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs; identifies problematic areas and implements strategic solutions

·        Ensures security of data, network access, and backup systems

·        Acts in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy

·        Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

·        2+ years’ experience in computer networks and systems maintenance

·        Experience with MS Office (VBA programming) and Epicor (ERP) software

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills

·        Proficient in database programming and software installation

·        Attention to detail and solid problem solving skills

·        Excellent relationship builder across departments

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This is primarily an office position that requires visits to the shop floor on occasion. It requires infrequent travel to assess vendors and negotiate contracts
