Project Cost Analyst

Local to Baytown, TX, and Port Arthur, TX

On-site

Long term contract


Currently looking for a hands-on experienced Project Cost Analyst who has experience in EPC cost control functions.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

  • Develop project cost forecasts for a portfolio of projects based on project schedule and project progress data.
  • Support in developing and maintaining the project status reports and performance metrics.
  • Interfaces with Accounting, and other Departments to ensure timely processing of project costs in SAP.
  • Support project superintendent with implementation of best practice project controls processes and procedures.
  • Support with project administration - project creation, purchase order creation and closures in SAP.

Qualifications:

  • Education – (Associate degree, or BSc,) preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 - 10+ years of direct experience in engineering, procurement, and construction leading the cost control function for a major project.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand a demanding, technical, and complicated project execution program
  • Proficient in project budgeting and forecasting processes and procedures.
  • Proficient in earned value management system (EVMS), including cost performance index (CPI), schedule performance index (SPI) cost variance (CV), and schedule variance (SV) analysis calculations.
  • Proficient in SAP Project System module, and Plant Maintenance Module a plus.
  • Must demonstrate Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient in Power BI a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Cost Consultant (CCC)/Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) is desirable but not required.
  • PMI, or AACEI member is desirable but not required.
