VP Construction

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Vice President of Construction will be to provide the necessary leadership for the daily operations and activities of the construction management and general contractor teams. These responsibilities include:

• Work onsite in our Beachwood, Ohio office.
• Hire and direct internal construction management team as the company scales up operations
• Develop a project estimate process for budgeting and modeling of potential development projects
• Oversee the procurement of construction services and materials to ensure diversity, quality, and savings from economies of scale in purchasing
• Manage internal and external construction management resources to ensure projects are being completed on time and under budget
• Visit job sites regularly to make sure that the sites are clean and safe and that the work is progressing satisfactorily
• Participate in weekly OAC meetings to manage project progress and make sure information is being communicated regularly
• Develop and maintain strong company relationships with key stakeholders through networking, industry events, and community involvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or construction management from accredited institution
• 7-10+ years of experience in construction
• Professional interaction with team members, stakeholders, government officials, and staff.
• Able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage projects and people at a high level
• Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to problem solve with creative “outside the box” solutions.
