Summary: The EHS Coordinator reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for driving compliance. A focus will be placed on PSM (Process Safety Management) and regulatory compliance through SOP’s, EHS programs, and Process Hazard Analysis, while establishing cross functional relationships by creating a positive safety culture. 

Job Duties:

  • Manage MOC process and tracking
  • Ensure PSM program is always audit ready.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations.
  • Coordinate meetings to provide updates on PHA’s and open items.
  • Monitor compliance by utilizing EHS walk-arounds, corrective action logs, risk assessments and behavioral based safety observations.
  • Implement and maintain policies, practices, and programs associated with occupational safety, health, accident prevention, and environmental compliance.
  • Creation of training, implementation, and execution for all IKI personnel.
  • Manage Workers’ Compensation reporting.
  • Lead employee near miss, corrective action, incident investigation, root cause discovery and reporting efforts.
  • Recommend, develop and implement programs geared toward risk mitigation efforts, near miss reduction, and zero incident occurrences.
  • Track and report on safety and compliance related KPI’s.
  • Coordinate Waste Operations/Spill Response team and Safety Committee.
  • Coordinate with vendors of PPE and company paid supplied items.
  • Champion reimbursement programs and company recognition program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • PSM certificate, CIH or similar certification preferred, or ability to obtain within first 6 months of hire.
  • Prior education or experience in manufacturing and PSM environment, hazardous chemical experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in local, state, and federal regulations relating to safety and environmental issues.
