The Fencing Supply Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to oversee and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations. This role is heavily focused on inventory management, capital management, and planning excellence—including S&OP, forecasting, demand planning, and capacity planning—while also ensuring seamless purchasing and distribution across our branch network. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5+ years of experience in supply chain management, strong analytical and system skills, and the ability to collaborate across functions to drive results. The role will require four days in the office and one day working remote.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory & Capital Management.Develop and execute strategies to optimize inventory levels across multiple product categories while balancing working capital, service levels, and cost.Partner with Finance to track capital tied up in inventory and recommend initiatives to improve working capital efficiency.Monitor and manage key inventory performance metrics (turns, days on hand, obsolescence, write-offs) to achieve company targets.Ensure proper inventory controls, audits, and cycle counting processes are in place.Purchasing & Branch SupportOversee purchasing activities to ensure cost-effective sourcing and timely replenishment of materials.Coordinate deliveries to FSG branches to maintain proper inventory levels and support operational needs.Collaborate with branch leadership to forecast demand and address local inventory challenges.Partner with suppliers and carriers to improve service levels, reduce lead times, and resolve delivery issues.Planning & ForecastingHelp create and drive the S&OP process, aligning cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain) to balance demand and supply effectively.Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts to support procurement and distribution planning.Lead capacity planning efforts to ensure supplier and logistics capabilities meet current and future demand.Translate demand and sales plans into actionable supply plans across procurement and logistics.Cross-Functional LeadershipCollaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless execution of supply chain operations.Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership regarding supply chain risks, opportunities, and trade-offs.Drive continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes, systems, and analytics.Data, Systems & AnalyticsLeverage Infor ERP for supply chain execution, data integrity, and planning accuracy.Develop dashboards and reporting in Microsoft Power BI to track KPIs, forecast accuracy, and branch performance.Use advanced analytics to identify gaps, support decision-making, and recommend corrective actions.Lead projects to digitize and modernize supply chain workflows.QualificationsEducation - Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field required. Master’s degree or APICS/CSCP certification preferred.Experience - Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with emphasis on inventory management, S&OP, forecasting, demand planning, and capacity planning.
