Propulsion Engineer

One of our large aerospace clients is looking to hire Propulsion Engineers to join their growing team in Ridley Park, PA.


Job responsibilities will include:

  • Participate in various testing, analysis, modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance.
  • Support definition and performance of certification tests for propulsion sub-systems and components.
  • Assist with ground and flight test planning. Participate in conduct of ground and flight test.
  • Contribute to definition of requirements for propulsion systems, auxiliary power systems and vehicle fuel and tank systems.
  • Coordination and control of the functional and physical interfaces between the propulsion system and the vehicle.
  • Support development of specifications and architectural and configuration concepts for associated vehicle systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with design of propulsion sub-systems and components to meet all vehicle design and performance criteria.
  • Support fielded systems to assure continued reliability and airworthiness.
  • Assist with development of concepts for future propulsion systems to meet anticipated requirements.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or relevant field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of working experience within aerospace or aviation
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with structural propulsion, nacelle design, or stress engineering within the field.


Pay: $40.00 - $60.00/hr (flexible based on experience)

Hours: Monday-Friday, normal working hours

Hiring Method: 1 year contract, potential for extensions as well as permanent opportunities

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
